Panther Creek Cellars 2012 Kalita Vineyard Pinot Noir | Great Northwest Wine Review
Arthur and Sherry Kalita planted their 22 acres of Pommard and Wadensvil clones in Willakenzie soils near famed Shea Vineyard, and their Pinot Noir has been featured by some cult producers for nearly a decade. Placed in the skilled hands of Tony Rynders, this bottling builds aromas of dark cherry and blackberry with touches of mocha and tarragon. The silky entry of Marionberry, raspberry and blueberry flavors slowly builds with rich tannins and picks up hints of moist earth and black truffle. This wine is not yet available at Panther Creek’s new tasting room in Dundee.
Rating: Excellent
